Planet of the Vampires
Fantastic 60's horror sci fi flick by the great Italian director Mario Bava. The story follows the horrific experiences of the crew members of two giant spaceships, the Argos and Galliot that have crash landed on the forbidding, unexplored planet of Aura. The disembodied inhabitants of the world possess the bodies of the crew who died during the crash, and use the animated corpses to stalk and kill the remaining survivors.

All the colors of the dark...in SPACE!
Jacula — Mon, 2009-05-04 15:33Aliens, Lifeforce, Carpenter's The Thing and so many others owe so much to THIS great film. Mario Bava's love for the skin crawlingest corners of the sci-fi terrain in our minds is masterfully mapped out here in the crazy stylized feature. I mean, come on; we're talking about black leather body-suited astronauts here! A must see.
