Synopsis:
Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead, The Devil's Rejects) stars in this two-fisted tale of holiday mayhem based on the popular comic book story!!! When a gang of sadistic criminals steals all the toys from the community center, it looks like Christmas will be ruined for a lot of boys and girls. Only one man, Black Santa (Foree), can save the day by unleashing his deadly yuletide vengeance! Written, produced and directed by David Walker, creator of the pop culture magazine BadAzz MoFo, BLACK SANTA'S REVENGE is filled with all the classic elements of exploitation cinema—graphic violence, gratuitous nudity, and tons of profanity—all crammed into a 20-minute running time. http://www.blacksantamovie.com
Midnight Movie is a slasher film set in a run-down theater in a sleepy, suburban town. A group of friends attend a midnight screening of a 1970s cult horror film and heckle the old black-and-white scenes. The film turns deadly when the killer emerges from the screen to hunt down each viewer one-by-one. Homage to ‘80s slasher films, Midnight Movie generates a scary, funny duality using traditional special effects and recreates iconic scenes from cult classics to provoke a nostalgic reaction from horror movie fans. The film is Bigfoot Entertainment’s first horror movie and will be distributed in North America, Germany, Greece, Thailand and Japan. http://www.midnightmovie.com/

Grindhouse Trailer Spectacular! at the Hollywood Theatre
Festival Director — Thu, 05/29/2008 - 15:23
This Saturday May 31st only at 7:45 at the Hollywood Theatre, the Grindhouse Film Festival presents The Grindhouse Trailer Spectacular! Dan Halsted is not giving away what’s showing, but you may want to wear a neck brace and a diaper to avoid whiplash and the public embarrassment of soiling yourself. Don’t miss this!
In the 1970’s, distributors trying to creatively sell strange low budget movies in oversaturated markets unwittingly created some of the most mind blowing pieces of cinema to ever rip through a film projector. Those who have been coming to the Grindhouse screenings know the excited frenzy these trailers can create in an audience. All the wildest scenes, strange taglines, and sleazy promotional gimmicks crammed into two minute cinematic rollercoaster rides. For one night only, we’ll have the best of these 35mm trailers packed in back to back!
For more information and advance tickets: http://www.grindhousefilmfest.com
The Grindhouse Film Festival is an independent production, not associated with the Hollywood Theatre.
